The New Astro "the zone system" by Ron Wodaski is an excellent, practical starter book, all you need, (it got me well started, I have a short attention span
). Then I tried Photoshop Astronomy by R.Scott Ireland, a weighty 270pg tombe that just goes way over the top, very serious, not recommended
