I've taken it out a couple of times so far. Haven't had it that long, but I was surprised. I had in mind to put the tube assembly in the back seat and the base in the boot of the car. Turns out it has to be the other way around as the base won't fit in the boot. No matter, a few thick blankets and other gear packed around and under the tube in the boot and it's fine.
