My Argo was mounted on a stalk (Gary sells or sends a bracket that is easily mounted on the stalk), and the stalk attached to the rocker box, so the Argo always ended up in a similar place. This was for my homebrew 10 dob, housed in a sonotube.
The latest scope is the 16" truss dob, and for some weird reason I have it on the secondary cage, next to the finder and eyepiece, middle of them actually.
There is good and bad for either. Weight (contrary to what Steve says) to me was the issue, but I am sorely tempted to try it from the rocker box again, as the less weight I have "up there" the better.
