I have had a 10 inch newt on a HEQ5, It can work but leaves absolutely no room for much else, if it's for visual it could pass but anything else it's just a bit too much. I have mine on an eq6 pro and it handles far better than it ever did on the HEQ5.
I do wish I had gone straight to the Eq6 in the long run.
