Both mounts built around basic EQ5 guts.
Sturdier legs on CG5.
CG5 has no wires running from input box to motors like SW EQ5.
Some reviews/reports have noted that the SW motors are quieter than the CG5 "coffee grinder"!!
Celestron software has more features than the SW Synscan one I think.
Some CG5 owners report strange slewing behaviour!!

I own the SW and it hasn't missed a beat since purchase. But I did do the astronomyboy tune up to ensure best performance. Recommended to be done on a CG5 too I think!

CG5 looks a lot nicer
