News Item, Sunday June 29th 08, relating to the Burmese situation.

"If prices stay where they are now, each refugee will be limited to 944 calories a day, and the rations will consist only of rice and salt. If prices keep increasing, the ration will go to 555 calories a day."

555 calories is 155gm of rice, the exact amount in the picture. A whole day's food, and maybe if you're "lucky", a little oil, and a chillie for some flavour.
