The chip in the DMK + ToUcam is the same size (5.6microns) and the same pixel size, so will (all else being equal) deliver the same image scale/magnification.
The extra magnification is likely due to the filter-wheel in the imaging chain. Your barlow likely provides extra magnification when the CCD is spaced further away from the top of the barlow.
With the ToUcam, you most likely didn't use a filterwheel?
My 5x powermate has the same effect, which is great. The filterwheel spacing makes my 5x about a 6x.
