i dont think ive ever been as scared as i was about 9:45pm lastnight when i noticed our house and back yard filling with thick electrical smelling smoke.
immediately i thought our house was on fire so i told everyone to get out and call for help while i tried to find it, after frantically turning off the power and poking my head up the manhole i was VERY relieved to find that it wasnt coming from the house.. but then where was it coming from?
i ran down to our shed but that was fine too (at this stage the fireys were on their way) the smoke was getting thicker and nastier when i finally noticed that it was coming from the whirly on top of our neighbours shed, i breathed a big sigh of relief and actually smiled (you'll see why)
its one of those things you never think will happen to you and when you really think it is, you just dont know what to do first and ive done a few firefighting courses since i work on big boats at sea. very very scary stuff.
