On the basis of a round trip of about 1600km, and with a consumption of say 10 lit/100km, you will use some 160 litres. At 30 cts over your budget of $1.40, that's going to cost you an extra $48. Bring some jerrycans, and with the lower price of fuel in Queensland, you'll almost be
saving money.
