I got the impression your one may have been 'over engineered', but by all means not in a negative way and possibly because it was the 1st 15" built.

Thats as heavy duty as you can get.
Things in hindsight always appear better, but there is always that element where had you got an 18, it might of been a case of 'oops' should have gone smaller.
Just looking at your scope however, it is a work of art. Out of curiousity Geoff what is the ~ weight of the lower assembly ?
