Yep, heard that rumour, but I have it on good authority from the adjunct 3rd secretary of the 5th science bureau directorate on Zeta2 Reticuli (III) that it was in fact one of their ships that crashed. It was caused by the fact that the pilot was too busy eating icecream and spilt some into the main navigation computer's data entry port
