John, I cant never get my dust bunnies to focus that good, they always look like dounuts lol

Kearn, ok I'm sprung I sketched it in, in pencil LOL Actually there was a bit of upper atmospheric thermals going on. The moon looked like it had water running over it by the end of the session. You can see it in the surface detail as loss of contrast. I often wonder if this does have and effect on the shadows too

Dave, I have/use an Saxon 8" f/6 on an EQ5 mount, LPI, x3 vixen barlow

Grant, cant use a focal reducer on a newt unfortunately. I used a 3x Barlow to get the magnification. I did try adding more but the conditions in the upper atmosphere made reaching good focus impossible

Here another of about a dozen taken, you can see the conditions getting worst. not sure of the times.
