The C14 (carbon?) is probably lighter than the Meade 14", so that might be a 1st choice. What do you mean by "found", C14 or Meade?.
"I plan on using it in the future for some F10 shots". Thats a fairly critical statement, hes only tried F2?????, Whaaa.....???.
An internally guided SBIG would lighten the load (no guide scope) but if you do go external, use a light guidescope eg ST80. The wide FOV of your DSLR will help (and a focal reducer), but anyway, id be VERY interested how you go on this little adventure
