SW EQ6Pro Azimuth Adjustment Lug

The author moved the azimuth adjustment lug so that he could place the EQ6 Head on the mount so that the weight bar was suspended over one of the tripod legs.

I assume this is also useful for polar aligning so that the tripod leg can be used to direct the mount to the south.

Do other people also do this; or leave it standard? I didnt see any mention anywhere of this, until I read the review. I havnt moved it as yet; but I'm thinking the counterweights may hit the tripod leg; maybe not, I'll have to check it out shortly
