I got a LXD55 mount and it is absolute rubbish, the only way to get these usable is by doing what is called a hypertune, basically rebuild it with better parts. This is the main reason I bought the Losmandy G11 as there is no way I was going to try and put a tak or for that matter the heavy SN10 on the LXD55 bag of bones. They can be made to work ok by doing the hypertune, but is it really worth it?? There is a yahoo group specifically related to this mount, and they have been able to get them to work ok but after major modifications. Out of the case they are hopeless. I believe the LXD75 is better, but it would need to be.
