I've joined up on a shaped plan so if/when I exceed my 3GB per month the speed will just be dropped to 64kb/s (still faster than dial up  ). The excess download rates are criminal!

I'll have to have a more in depth study of satellite and it's associated costs, knowing my luck sometimes I'll just get it all set up and they will put in the broadband cables.
Hi Karlsson, a good point. All that hot air rising as well might upset the seeing conditions
