Usually when people say fluorite lens or APO they usually mean a scope with one lens made of calcium fluoride crystal (CaF2) rather than one that uses a fluor-crown glass such as FPL-53 or FPL-51. CaF2 has the best properties for colour correction but is by far the most expensive.
