Hi Brad,
Thanks for the reply to this thread.
I did not mean to offend or be over critical. I realize you can't get much from a 10min exposure and did read what was on screen.
My son turned out to be the perfect example of someone expecting a whole heap more. However after sitting him down and explaining things to him (as best im could) He seems to have gotten the idea.
The only shots i've ever taken are of the moon with a point and shoot digital camera afocal. So i've not had any experience taking galaxies or nebula. However after 12mths on this site i do have an idea as to what is involved.
But if what was written has improved the site to better explain to newbies what they can expect then that can't be all bad,LOL.
Again i do apologise if i upset someone!!!!
I have posted some shots i took using GRAS 13 only a couple of nights ago in the Deep Space section and have also stated that i will be buying time.
It is a great thing you guys/Gals have got up and running and can only serve to create more interest in Astronomy as a whole.
Three Cheers to you all!!!. Very well done.
On the flipside i hope to start imaging in about 6/8 weeks. I think i've bought just about everything the other half wanted,LOL.
Heading for GSTAR-ex complete kit and new lappy.
Cheers and thanks,
Duncan
