I've never met any girl who had a real interest in astronomy....just a passing interest in astronomy when it came up in conversation, but nothing right into it. I've only ever known of a few who had any real interest in science!!!. Most guys, even. I don't know what's wrong with them

Mrs Irene Towers was a very keen amateur astronomer and somewhat of mentor of mine in the 1970s. Lovely lady , wonder how she is doing , really must look her up some time.

I have heard on good authority that at least 2 of my old flames were so influenced by my interest in astronomy that they became amateur astronomers themselves.
