Good night out.

Took my telescope out for a little while last night, here are a few more items to cross of my list.

Started with the Eta carinea emission nebula, allways let out a wow when I see it.

Tried again to view Omega centauri, still just a large fuzzy patch. After some time of lookin to the side and not directly at it, I am sure I started to make out some detail.

Then went over to scorpius and looked at M6 and M7, nice clusters to view in either a 20 or 10mm eyepiece.

Tried to view NGC6397, looked similar to omega centauri, just a smaller fuzzy patch.

I then turned to view Jupitar. Started out with just my 20mm eyepiece. I could just make out some dark cloud bands and what looked like 4 or 5 moons to the left. I then Used my 2x barlow with the 20mm, it made a huge difference. I could clearly make out 2 dark brown cloud bands and a number of lighter ones.

Was a good night, but had to call it quits when the dew started to form.

Cheers - Craig.
