You are spoilt for choice in Brisbane - several fantastic clubs, all with great members and all with slightly different biases. I'm on the council of the AAQ, and even though we do some pretty serious scientific projects, our meetings are an absolute riot - It's the Queensland way!
So get involved with at least one of the clubs if you can. Just come along to a meeting and say hi. We all welcome guests and there is no need to commit untill you find the place for you.
