I'd recommend a pioneer 109 burner... About $80 bucks.. Ive burnt over 400 DVD's with my 107 and 109 burners without an issue.. Im sure most of the other ones are just as good...I believe the Sony models are OK too...
The main thing I have found is to avoid using the cheapest DVD blanks you can buy...(Princo) and others. I personally only use Ritek G05 . Not the most expensive but at around $23 for 50 blanks.
It works for me..
