I bought one, it cost me $60 which I thought was ok, as for the scope it isn't too bad, I get a good view of jupiter and Saturn also the moon is pretty good too, as for an introduction into astronomy they are fine, I would be more upset if I paid $500 + for a scope and never used it.
They are virtually no brand, the closest I have seen is a Telstar, all in all I am satisfied but would love to upgrade in 12 months to something much better and then I will go to a reputable dealer.
