I got the idea from a very old book called, Building A Low Cost Telescope, by Eric Witcombe.
Mind you the book is well over 30 years old, but the pricipals are the same.
It all depends how elaborate you want to go, this is the book.

That's a name I haven't heard for very long time .... Founder of Astro-Optical Supplies if I remember correctly.
Would be worth scanning in the book as a PDF if someone had a scanner and the time.
