I could hope some day the Prof. Harvey might do a lecture in Sydney. I am very much interested to know more about the SKA. I recall reading about it back when i was in uni and back then they were designing these funky spherially shapped antennas that unlike Dish telescope had a much wider beam width. This meant you could look at the whole sky and record signals, instead of just one section with the narrower beam of the Dish. Fascinating design i think it was called a Luneburg lens or something similar. Not sure if they went ahead with that type or not.
