The programs/applications that you have on your comp. have no bearing on your provider. You keep the same one. You just open the prog in the same way,(2x click), & use it the same as always. It just works better & safer. Mailwasher comes in 2 versions, free & bought. The bought version is the Pro. More features = better.
When you, can I say D/L now?, Thunderbird, (email), you run it as normal. Goto >address book>tools>import. You can bring all your info/addys etc from OE into Thunderbird. Make/sort your new folders etc etc.
You'll have to have all your server info to set it up tho. This is done thru>local folders>view settings. This is where your info goes.

ps. A DVD burner is the way to go. It does both CD & DVD.
