Hi Rhisaac. The NAS (Newcastle Astronomical Society) might be able to recommend someone, but also don't forget that there'll be hundreds of other scopes there to look through, as well as some large aperture dobsonians giving sky tours.
You really don't need to bring a telescope at all if you don't want to.
