I don't know.I am very new to this.Has the blue colour got anything to do with the scope which is not an ED? The Jewel box was taken in my own backyard which is very light polluted.
As for the spike,I put a "false cross" in front of the dew-shield( two rubber bands on a icecream container lid)just experimentingI like spikes.
