Thumbs up NGC3372 - Eta Carinae Nebula

Hi all

This image was taken back on the 8th March, from Mangrove Mountain on the Central Coast of NSW.

It's only my second image of Eta Carina but i'm happier with how this one has turned out. My previous effort from the dark skies at Wee Jasper looks way too saturated and flourescent looking back at it now

The image consists of 12x 300s exposures, darks ICNR, flats calibrated. Taken through an unmodded Canon 350D, ED80 + WO 0.8x II reducer, guided on an EQ6 with DMK/PHD combo.

Next time I'll definitely go longer, but also really needs a modded camera to bring out the fainter stuff.

Attached is the smaller 800px wide version. Please look at the larger 1200px wide version, and be sure to click on the image to see the larger size.
