Thanks for your comments...I'll probably get the powermate as I don't know when I will see such weakness (kindness) in my wife again...
Besides, it should last me a lifetime...as eyepieces etc. make up a large % of the viewing system I might as well get as good as I can...
Best of all, when I move upward and onward to a nicer scope, I can still use the powermate (and other eyepieces)...
At least that is what I am telling myself...
