A friend of mine recently gave me his 20+ year old Celestron. It was exposed to sea air and there is some minor corrosion of the aluminium, however, I believe it can be resurected as the optics appear reasonable (some fungus on the mirrors and the lenses need to be stripped down and cleaned.
Unfortunately I am an absolute newcomer to this and have no idea of how to go about it.

Does anyone know of aguide or manual that would assist a reasonably competent handyman (me) to get this up and running again as I am keen to begin a new hobby.

I would appreciate any advice on this issue
