Its not just astronomers, but nature that is suffering, and with the growing greenhouse threat, it should be becoming easier and easier to shut down these idiot light wasters. It might be worth having a talk to your council, as light trespass might in fact be illegal. The neighbour is also an enviromental vandal for making a whole lot of un necessary CO2 by using all that extra electricity.
When the co2 trading scheme comes in some think power costs might sky rocket, the good thing if that happens these idiots will have to turn off the lights.

i approached the council with a general query on lighting without giving names, if it was a tennis court they would act but otherwise not interested. as always they want your money but nothing else.
the anger has dissipated as the lighting has not been so severe lately, mind you i havent been able to image due to moon and weather.
i am considering ezys idea thought of fighting fire with fire, peter ward is selling those 250 watt green lasers hmmmm
