Very nice image, good to see a sky background that is not jet black (no such thing) lovely colour too.
Neghbours with floodlights
. My neighbour in Newcastle has his floodlight pointed dirrectly at his clothsline so when his wife feels the need to hang out washing at 10pm my whole backyard gets lit up too!
I did mention it and he was happy to angle it down to the ground if I asked, of course it always ended up pointing back at my yard the next day though, I suspect his wife felt her night time washing was VERY important..?
Of course it is linked to their patio floodlight too isn't it??? So in the early evening everytime they go out under their entertainment area which is on the oposite side of the house the washing gets lit up on the other side (my side) of the house too!! Sheesh I hope Earth Hour teaches these imberciles! Even though they were accomodating when I did, I gave up asking as I felt I was anoying them, luckily the lights are on a 3min timer only so I only have to stand so my camera is in shadow for 3min
when it comes on and they seldom come out after 11pm so the real astronomy hours stay dark
I avoid pointing the scope in the direction of their cloths line (North) before 10-11pm as an improptu floodlight would be sure to ruin the sub underway at the time
Luckily I haven't really imaged anything in North the past year and we are about to move house now
.......to where I will see no sky at all.......
