Hi Lance, that looks a great top quality small set up for grab and go. And having an image intensifier on it is a smart idea.
I have looked through one of these during a meteor shower and it picked up 3 to 4 meteors with the intensifier to one that you could see with the eye.
A place in Australia for an observatory, MMMMmmm I hear the top end of QLD is good for steady skies.
Another good place is where QLD astrofest was held. Up by Esk & Moore area.
Far away from local lights and not too far away if you need to get to town. For me Lance everywhere in Australia is good coming from UK skies.  It’s god’s country over here.

Have you had any luck with taking photos with this on the scope? Does it allow you to attach a camera to the scope.
