I refused to wear a tie at my secondary school and policy at the time was to sent the student home to get one. I turned up every morning without a tie for six weeks and was sent home every day. In the end I was allowed in school without a tie as i was being victimized and that is against the law. The down side was the teaching staff made my life hell until I graduated, but i was the one grinning every morning and afternoon once the last period bell rang. Small victories taste great.
