Glittering Prizes

Saturday in Perth turned out to be a perfect day , no cloud and no wind , unfortunately i spent most of it working but luckily got home by 7.30. Conditions still ideal the scope was set up quickly and thermals and warm gear put on . My plan for the evening was to explore the rich and brillant regions of sagittaruis and scorpius and record a visiual log of my travels with gobular clusters the focus . By 9.00 both constellations are close to the meridan and culminating so with the good conditions the situation was perfect ......except for the dew and very cold conditons . This was a real test for the heaters , i had my 20x80 binos on the SCT to and they did well.

Started with M22 and followed with m28,ngc6638,m69,m70,m54,m55,m75,m4, m80,m6,m72,m2 and the Bug and Saturn nebula {Some in Aquarius to}. Wanted to do some eyepiece impressions but had the focus i thought not bad so i did all the images first in one 3 min exposure at 800iso at cassegrain focus. Just after i finished the exposures around 11.30 had small patches of clouds moving swiftly from the northwest to southeast , strange because at ground level it was calm . A little later bigger formations of cloud started to move in unfortunately , i was hoping to go back over the objects imaged ...next time
