Say - I'm still trying to figure out what the thread at the top of the device is for. Obviously to piggy-back something, but I would have expected a female, not male thread. I have one of these for my FS60-C, and would like to use it for ..well.. something!
You can't put a camera on it, as you wouldn't know where it reached a good tight fit as you spun it on - it may be facing off to the side! It's a standard 1/4x20 thread by the looks of it, so could someone enlighten me?
