More data under a darker sky would certainly do this nebula complex more justice. I did use Noiseware freeware program as I really had to stretch the levels to pull it from the sky background.
Will be a good visual target for the big dobs at the upcoming SPSP and QLD astrofest camps.
Id also be keen to see other images of it to see what either DSLRs under dark skies or CCD imagers , that can go deeper that I can here in light polluted Newcastle.
I was at Eddie's on Friday night, I soon saw just how bad the light pollution is here, Eddies skies were brilliant, way darker and in fact not much lighter then Lostock skies. I must get my portable rig with 6 inch scope and 300mm lens there next time.
