I bought an 8" GS from Andrews only a month ago..I'm having a blast with this thing
It is very transportable and after much travel and moving, the collimation is still in check.
You might want to give the base some extra handles, the scope a control knob and some extra sliders for the swivelling. I did and it made the scope sooo much better, for like $40 in total extra.
