Hi all if you can see M51 from your location and you have a 20cm scope or higher go to this web site
http://www.rochesterastronomy.org/snimages/ to down load an image to see a 13.5 mag supernover. in the smaller scopes you will need high mag but it will help your observing skills . astroron
