Snake Valley - a few pics
After handing over a small fortune yesterday afternoon I took possession of about 90 prints - the results of my first prime focus session held at Snake Valley over the weekend. Focussing through the small ground glass finderscope of the camera proved very difficult on the fainter objects and it appears that I missed some altogether, having not centred them in the scope's finderscope.
Anyway, I'm rapt in the results. There's lots of noise, much more work to do on exposure times and focus and a need to select more appropriate images for my setup but, hey, I didn't get 4 blank rolls back!!
So, here's a selection of images - mixture of tripod mounted, piggyback and prime focus. I've done no processing (as is probably obvious) and need to sit down with my field notes and the photos and collate all that info.
All taken using a Minolta SRT101b (owned by me for 30yrs), 400ISO film and using a Vixen ED80 on a Skywatcher HEQ5Pro mount. Also achieved with the patient help of all at SV.
Thanks for looking - and as always any advice gratefully received
Now, does anyone have a digital camera for sale........
