Not sure what you mean by L=RGB. Did you simply combine the RGB channels to provide the luminance and if so what did you do the to luminance after this? Any deconvolution? If anything, I'd recommend using the R channel for luminance. If you want the most "realistic" colour, then don't blend any L, just plain RGB. Works great for bright targets, but L or Ha RGB is best for fainter targets. I enjoyed your cosmic hand pic some time back. Will be honest, this one doesn't do it for me, but I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. Well done.
