One often sees 8" LX90's either being discussed or for sale. There is less feedback on the 12" model but careful searching still reveals some feedback and helpful insights.
However when it comes to the 10" lx90, feedback is very elusive. I have never seen a second hand one. Still they are always listed new so I imagine they get bought.
The 10" model seems a nice compromise between portability and aperture - it is a light scope by comparison.
I guess I have always marvelled at what Steve Hamilton has been able to achieve with an 8" lx90 astrophotographically
. Although a 12" might be pushing the mount I see no reason why a 10" LX90 could not be tested to the same limits.
With the new Meade ACF models about to arrive in Australia (
) I am keen to know more about how the 10" SCT LX90's have been received here.
Could those who own one please give some feedback.
