This doesn't sound good. The early version of this product has the USB cable coming into the box, then the wires are stripped and inserted into holes in the pc board. My guess is that one of the wires has come loose. If you wish, please open up the box and see if this is correct. If it is, it could quickly be fixed with a solder iron. If not, let me know and we will arrange an exchange.
