Not to spam Geoff's thread.

But I thought any potential buyers may like to get another opinion on this scope. I have looked and star tested this scope (I may not be a expert star tester!) but after a few years in this hobby I have a clue or too.

Anyway I found this scope to star test very nicely with nice concentric rings on both side of focus. The images where sharp as they should be in this type of scope. It's not a deep sky hunter of faint Galaxy's but will show bright objects and the big planets very nicely. Under very good seeing this scope will suprise on how nice the images are. To be sure thow its not a 10" Newt.

You will buy a very nice refractor with very nice optics. A smooth focuser for a rack and pinion. Also we put this scope on a HEQ5 mount and this mount is ideal for this scope.

My thoughts anyway.
