Thanks. It's interesting about the VC200L. As my only other scope has been an ETX I hadn't realised haw flat the field is with the VC200L until I have been looking through our clubs 14" SCG. It is certainly obvious that there is degredation towards the edge of the field with the SCG compared to the vixen. Just a lucky purchase I suppose when I decided to buy it all those years ago.
