I'm wondering if I could put my 8" Bintel GSO (dob- therefore altitude bearings in the way?) on this mount and add an RA motor drive? For observing all the sky and webcam imaging, mainly of the Moon. Comments on the feasibility? Is the mount likely to cope with the weight? Stable enough for the purpose? An economical entry into a GEM mount to build my experience?
I hope you don't mind my asking for some input, Michael.
ps. Michael, what is the distance between the rings, please?
