Hi Eric

I played guitar for 22 years for a living but I also play a bit of keyoards, drums, bass, blues harp and I sing ( well used to, now I croak, no practice ). I just bought a Yamaha MO8 music production synthesizer that has re-ignited my writing interest. I also bought a Lexicon Lambda desktop recording setup with Cubase LE4 software so I can record guitar/keyboard/vocals etc direct to my notebook.
If that confuses you .... it means I can now record everything digitally i.e. no tape hiss and cut and paste editing etc. Brilliant !!!

As regards the guiding, I checked your website after I posted the question and found your tutorial, cheers mate. The thing I was curious about was your guide image timing interval settings i.e. 1 sec 2 sec 3 sec .... I hope you get what I mean. It's been a while since I've done any imaging and I can't remember the specifics of the setup but my guide star would fairly quickly run off the guide chip when trying to do long exposures and the result would be bad trailing after about 30 sec. Ofcourse the smaller field of view of the XCM2000 doesn't help matters either. I found that track and accumulate mode was giving me better results than auto guiding which is not the idea of buying the camera in the first place. That takes me back to the same process as using the 350D and DeepSkyStacker in effect, the only difference being that the stacking was done automatically in CCDOPs and exposure times were also auto. Anyway I waffle too much !

Keep up the good work.
