Secondly, I was not impressed, but at 26 what do you say, and Mr Night Owl, I agree totally to what you are saying, but hasn't the world changed.
Back in 1973 etc, about that time, I would park my car in front of the gun shop at that time, and no one would bother to look or take notice when i took my rifle from the back seat, sling it across my back and walk toward the shop.
We could buy ammo of any amount etc, and no licence necessary, how things have changed, but i agree, they were dumb.

Yeah, I can remember back in 1982 a friend of mine bought a semi auto 12 guage shotgun, that had been driven over, and the barrel slightly bent.
He took it to school, fully assembled, to fix it in metal work. He walked with it over his shoulder right through the middle of school, and the principal and several teachers saw it. The cops weren't called, and the metalwork teacher helped him straighten it. Do that now and see what happens.
The world is just a ****tier place now. Everything now has an induced 'climate of fear' placed on it by governments that realise fear controls people.
Also, what concerns me is many countries without private firearms ownership don't get to vote. Just ask the Chinese, and Burmese. You know what I'm saying.
