Well I have some rather unfortunate news...the astro imaging bug has bitten and I have been forced to shell out some dosh for a Skywatcher ED80
.
Seriously though, the 8" in the HEQ5 is too much to have to concentrate on, with the vibrations (although it is fine for regular observing), the fact that I have to climb a ladder every time I want to do anything at the eyepiece and all of this on top of trying to learn how to take good photos!!
Dont' know if this is a particularly good price but Myastroshop has them for $595 or $620 delivered with the rings and dovetail.
So for Sydneysiders, I am sorry
but you will have to put up with the rain for a bit longer.
